Announces retirement following Saturday's loss to Johnny Eduardo
BantamweightUFC
November 19, 2016
Gamburyan announced his retirement following his loss to Johnny Eduardo via TKO (punches) at 0:46 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
It's time. Gamburyan's first UFC fight came way back in June 2007 when he lost The Ultimate Fighter finale to Nate Diaz. There have been plenty of ups and downs since then. Manny fought Jose Aldo for the WEC championship in September 2010, and he also had bouts against Mike Brown, Nik Lentz, and John Dodson over the course of his career. The 35-year-old was never what you would call an upper-echelon fighter, but he had a solid, steady career.

BantamweightUFC
September 27, 2016
Gamburyan will face Johnny Eduardo at UFC Fight Night 100 on Nov. 19 in Sau Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Gamburyan and Eduardo are each looking to get back on the winning track after suffering a loss in their last bout. Eduardo has a bit more experience in the Octagon than Gamburyan, but "The Anvil" has formidable submission skills of his own, which he'll hope will help negate the strong grappling of the Brazilian.

ANALYSIS
Gamburyan did not get into specifics, and the 35-year-old veteran bantamweight does not have a timetable for a return to the octagon. "The Anvil" will be replaced in the September event by Albert Morales, who will be making his UFC debut.
Manny Gamburyan: Decisions Scott Jorgensen In San Diego
BantamweightUFC
July 15, 2015
Gamburyan defeated Scott Jorgensen via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in San Diego.
ANALYSIS
That's back to back wins for Gamburyan after dropping down to the bantamweight division. He's one of the stronger competitors at 135 pounds and he's definitely using that to his advantage. He landed five takedowns on Jorgensen and was in control throughout. A title run isn't in the picture, but Gamburyan has found new life in the lower weight class.
