Marcio Alexandre

Lyoto
MiddleweightUFC
December 12, 2015
Alexandre lost to Court McGee via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 194 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Alexandre is a decorated Karate specialist, but his strikes are often telegraphed and he rarely alters his game plan. His takedown defense held up for the first two rounds, but he fell apart in the final stanza. As we have seen in the past, being an elite Karate fighter doesn't necessarily mean that you will have a successful MMA career. At 0-3 in the UFC, Alexandre could be looking at a release.

December 12, 2015
Alexandre will enter his welterweight fight with Court McGee as a +160 underdog at UFC 194 on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
ANALYSIS
"Lyoto" has had a rough go of it in his two-fight UFC stint, taking losses to a pair of difficult opponents; Warlley Alves and Tim Means. Now taking on Court McGee, winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 11, it's likely put up or shut up time for Alexandre. With 10 of his 11 career wins coming by KO/TKO, Alexandre will likely want nothing to do with McGee's advanced ground game.
