Surin defeated Dean Hancock via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 4:50 of Round 2 at Bellator 194 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This was an interesting clash of styles. Hancock came forward with a lot of power and explosiveness. He scored with some heavy strikes and slams. However, During had a big experience and skill advantage. After absorbing some shots, he was able to control the strike exchanges with his jab. Whenever the fight went to the ground, he was able to reverse positions. He took the back multiple times and threatened with a rear-naked choke. Late in the second round, Hancock tried to escape the back mount. When he did, Surin caught him in an arm-triangle choke and finished the fight. Surin had lost his Bellator debut last fall. Here he was able to pick up his first win in the promotion.

Tastes defeat for the first time as a professional at Bellator 185

Surin lost to Ryan Quinn via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at Bellator 185 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
Surin had his moments in this fight, but Quinn seemed to have an answer for everything. When Surin scored takedowns, Quinn reversed him almost immediately. When Surin would escape the ground, Quinn would find a way to plant him back on the ground. Surin turned professional and quickly built a 4-0 record before signing with Bellator earlier this year. This fight was originally scheduled for the undercard, but it was moved up due to injury. Despite the loss, Surin showed that he deserves a spot in Bellator. However, he will likely need a couple more wins before he earns another shot on a main card.
