Mark Delarosa

The Bumblebee
Not competitive in UFC debut Saturday
BantamweightUFC
December 30, 2017
Delarosa lost to Tim Elliott via submission (anaconda choke) at 1:41 of Round 2 at UFC 219 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Delarosa's UFC debut was an unmitigated disaster. Facing one of the tougher and underrated fighters in the entire company, De La Rosa could get nothing going offensively and spent a good portion of the short bout fighting off of his back. While the 23-year-old still has time on his side, we saw nothing on Saturday that would indicate he has much of a future with the company.

Debuts against Tim Elliott
BantamweightUFC
December 20, 2017
Delarosa will face off against Tim Elliott at UFC 219 in Las Vegas on December 30, Thomas Gerbasi of UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Delarosa will be making his UFC debut after signing with the promotion this summer. During his professional career, "the bumblebee" boasts an unbeaten 9-0 record, and recently bested Mahatma Chit-Bala Garcia Avalos at Combate 15 via submission (rear-naked choke) in late June. On the flip side, Elliott was defeated by Ben Nguyen in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand in June. Prior to that loss, Elliott earned a victory over Louis Smolka via unanimous decision in April, and almost pulled off a monumental upset over Demetrious Johnson last December.
