Denning lost to Don Shainis via TKO (punches) at 4:50 of Round 1 at Bellator 185 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This was a very tough fight for Denning. He could not stop the early takedown from Shainis. From that point, he was basically stuck on the bottom. Shainis landed solid strikes from the top but nothing huge. As Denning began to tire out, Shainis continued to work. Late in the round, Shainis transitioned to the mount and basically punched until the referee stopped the bout. With the loss in his Bellator debut, Denning falls to 5-7 overall.
