Hamill is a 40-year-old UFC veteran with a career record of 12-8 overall. Most know Hamill for his victory over Jon Jones, who was disqualified for an illegal elbow throw in their matchup, and gave Jones his only career loss. This win over Luiz Cane is his first since 2012, and came from a series of punches that took down Cane in only 38 seconds.

Hamill will return to MMA to face Luiz Cane in the main event of a Fight 2 Night show in Brazil on April 28, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hamill will come into the bout having lost four consecutive fights dating all the way back to 2013. Since parting ways with the UFC in 2013, Hamill has competed under the WSOF, Venator and Combate America banners, though he's been finished in the first round in each of those fights. Meanwhile, Hamill's opponent, Luiz Cane, has finished victorious in five of his last six fights, including four first-round knockouts.
