Michael McBride

Gets hammered in unanimous decision loss
LightweightUFC
April 22, 2017
McBride lost to Scott Holtzman via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
McBride stands straight up and keeps his hands low, which was a perfect recipe for Holtzman to continually land big shots. McBride's toughness carried him through, and while he landed some decent volume, it never seemed like he had the ability to hurt his opponent. McBride has now lost his first two fights in the UFC, and falls to 8-3 in professional MMA.

Hammered by Nik Lentz in UFC debut
LightweightUFC
September 10, 2016
McBride lost to Nik Lentz via TKO (punches) at 4:17 of Round 2 at UFC 203 on Saturday in Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
It has not been a good evening for fighters making their company debuts. Unable to deal with the constant pressure of Lentz, McBride was unable to use his length to his advantage. He ended up landing 61% of his total strikes (42/69) but virtually all of them had no effect on Lentz. Perhaps McBride will look better in his second UFC bout when he has a full training camp under his belt, but there is little reason for optimism here.
