Loss to Andrade ruled no contest
WelterweightUFC
March 22, 2017
Walsh's loss to Viscardi Andrade on March 19 of last year has been ruled a no contest after Andrade tested positive for an anabolic steroid, Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Walsh proceeded to lose his next fight to Jonathan Meunier in the following November, but now instead of a 2-4 record with the promotion, the 28-year-old will sport a mark of 2-3 (1 NC). Despite the slight record improvement, Walsh still needs a signature performance soon if he wants to stick around with the promotion.

Can't muster offense against Jonathan Meunier
WelterweightUFC
November 26, 2016
Walsh lost to Jonathan Meunier via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
On the feet, Walsh really struggled to land. He tried to feint his way into striking range. However, save for a few spinning back fists, he landed virtually nothing of consequence. In the first two rounds, he was able to enter the clinch and even pick his opponent off the ground. He still could not finish the takedown. In the third round, he finally landed a few takedowns, but he could hold the position or do much damage. Walsh is now 2-4 in the UFC.

Walsh lost to Viscardi Andrade via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Brisbane, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Walsh looked perfectly competent on the feet, but his inability to stay off of his back cost him this fight. Walsh was able to land one big knockdown, but he allowed Andrade to recover quickly and the Aussie never really threatened after that point. Walsh is better than his 2-3 career record in the octagon indicates, but he has lost three of his last four fights and he certainly doesn't have fans clamoring to see him get back into action anytime soon.

Walsh defeated Steve Kennedy via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 193 on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Walsh foolishly continued to engage in a ground battle against Kennedy in a fight that he was dominating on the feet, but it ended up not hurting him. He landed a flurry of leg kicks early on and was in total control whenever the fight was on the feet. He was never truly in danger on the ground, but it's clear that his ground game needs work. Even though Walsh rarely gets talked about, there's a number of fighters in the welterweight division that he can beat.
