Rob Whiteford: Looks sluggish in unanimous decision loss to Darren Elkins
Whiteford lost to Darren Elkins via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Dublin.
ANALYSIS
You could make a slight argument that Whiteford may have won the first round, but that's about it. Elkins slapped on a deep rear-naked choke late in the third round and Whiteford likely would have been forced to tap out if he wasn't saved by the bell. Whiteford knocked out Paul Redmond in the first round in his last fight, but he now come up short in both of his fights against reasonable competition (Elkins and Jimy Hetes). Whiteford should earn another bout on one of the UFC's upcoming European cards.

Rob Whiteford: Knocks Out Paul Redmond In Front Of Home Crowd
Whiteford defeated Paul Redmond via KO at 3:04 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland.
ANALYSIS
The knockout was great, the celebration afterward was even better. The native son ran out of the cage and jumped into the crowd after picking up the victory. One monster left hand dropped Redmond and Whiteford jumped on top and finished him off. After losing his professional debut due to a doctor's stoppage in May 2009, Whiteford has won 12 of 13 since. He improves to 2-1 in the UFC, with his only loss coming in his debut to Jimy Hettes.
