Sam Stout: Retires From MMA Competition At Age 31
LightweightUFC
September 2, 2015
Stout has retired from active MMA competition at the age of 31, MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the right decision. Stout has spent the better part of the last two years serving as a punching bag. Stout had lost his last three bouts and it is entirely possible that he would have been released if he had not hung up his gloves. Always willing to stand and slug it out, Stout quickly became a fan favorite. He will finish his career with a 20-12-1 record.
