Jordan has signed a multi-fight deal with the World Series of Fighting, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jordan was once part of the UFC's heavyweight roster, where he accumulated a 6-4 record dating back to 2012. Shawn Jordan: Drops decision to Ruslan Magomedov Saturday in Houston
HeavyweightPFL
October 3, 2015
Jordan lost to Ruslan Magomedov via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC 192 on Saturday in Houston.
ANALYSIS
Jordan told his corner between the first and second rounds that he believed he suffered a broken rib. Add in an eye injury that caused one of his eyes to swell shut and it was a rough night at the office for Jordan. He deserves credit for lasting the entire fifteen minutes, but Jordan landed very little over the final ten minutes of the fight. It very well could have been a different fight if Jordan didn't suffer the two injuries. Jordan has been a fixture in the UFC's heavyweight division for quite a long time and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

ANALYSIS
Following a brief two-fight losing streak, Jordan has rattled off three straight TKO victories in his last three contests. His last fight was a win over Derrick Lewis in June. That effort earned him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
Shawn Jordan: Finishes Derrick Lewis Saturday
HeavyweightPFL
June 6, 2015
Jordan defeated Derrick Lewis via TKO at 0:48 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Jordan won two Division I national football championships at LSU, so it's no surprise he's one of the best athletes in the heavyweight division. He showed that off on Saturday by nailing Lewis with a perfectly placed kicked to the face and then finishing him off with strikes on the ground. After brief back-to-back losses to Gabriel Gonzaga and Matt Mitrione, Jordan has now won three in a row dating back to August 2014.
