August 25, 2018
Williams was defeated by Eryk Anders via KO (head kick) 4:42 of Round 3 at UFC Lincoln on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Williams was a massive underdog at +600. He started off well and controlled the action in the first round by maintaining his distance and not allowing Anders to trap him up against the fence. He scored a late takedown which sealed up the round. In the second, Williams started to be cutoff by "Ya Boy" and began to absorb punches. He had a cut opened up under his left eye. The third brought an early knockdown when Williams ate a big left hand. He routinely had his inside leg kicks countered by Anders in the third round. Towards the end of the fight Williams slipped and as he got back to his feet got hit with a head kick that ended the fight. It was the 5th latest KO in UFC middleweight history.
