Nishikawa will step in in place of Jamie Mullarkey (undisclosed) to take on Magomed Mustafaev in a lightweight matchup at UFC 280 on Oct. 22, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Nishikaway is only 19 years old, but he's compiled an impressive 30 professional fights. He's currently riding a 14-fight winning streak, with nine of those coming under the banner of the Korean-based Shooto promotion. On the whole, 14 of his 21 wins have been earned by way of KO/TKO. Still, oddsmakers seem to favor the higher-caliber experience of Mustafaev, as Nishikawa enters as a (+400) betting underdog with the fight roughly three weeks away.
