Looks dreadful in loss Saturday
Okami lost to Alexey Kunchenko via unanimous decision (26-30, 26-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Okami's performance was legitimately one of the worst you will ever see inside the octagon. He landed just 10 total strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout and he failed on all 15 of his takedown attempts. They are both truly mind-numbing numbers, but not all that surprising for a 37-year-old fighter who hasn't been effective for years. Okami returned to the UFC last September as a late notice replacement for a fight against Ovince Saint Preux. He lost that one and then somehow took a decision from Dhiego Lima in June. This effort was so terrible that the UFC would be well within their rights to cut bait with "Thunder".

Books match with Alexey Kunchenko at UFC Adelaide
The UFC announced Wednesday that Okami (35-11-0) will fight Alexey Kunchenko (19-0-0) at UFC Adelaide on Dec. 1, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A former middleweight title contender earlier in the decade, the 37-year-old Okami left the UFC in 2013 before returning to the promotion last September. He lost a light heavyweight bout against Ovince Saint Preux after being added to the card on short notice, but bounced back in his second UFC match in April with a victory over Dhiego Lima via decision. Okami will get a more difficult test in Kunchenko, who knocked out 13 of his first 18 opponents before defeating Thiago Alves via decision in his UFC debut in September.

Easily earns 35th win of pro career
Okami defeated Dhiego Lima via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) at UFC on FOX 29 on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona.
ANALYSIS
A win over Lima means absolutely nothing, but it is the 35th of Okami's career and his first in the UFC since March 2013. Knowing that Lima was totally incapable of defending a takedown, Okami scored on five of his 10 attempts. He racked up an insane 12:35 worth of control time in a fight that lasted 15 minutes. This will almost certainly go down as the high-water mark of Okami's return to the company. The good times are going to end for the 36-year-old if the UFC foolishly books him against an opponent with any true ability.

Booked against Dhiego Lima
Okami will face Dhiego Lima in a welterweight bout at UFC on FOX 29 in Glendale, Arizona on April 14, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Okami is looking to bounce back from a first-round loss to Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night in Japan back in September, which marked his first fight under the UFC banner since being released from the promotion in 2013. The 36-year-old, who is 34-11 in professional fights, will face a fighter in Lima (12-6) who is in the midst of a two-fight losing streak and looking for his first win in his second stint in the UFC.

Submitted in Round 1
Okami was defeated by Ovince Saint Preux via submission (von flue choke) at 1:50 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Friday in Japan.
ANALYSIS
Okami came in with the strategy of using grappling to defeat the much larger Saint Preux. However, this strategy backfired. Okami tried to sweep Saint Preux, but left himself wide open for the former Tennessee Volunteer's patented von flue choke. "Thunder" was choked unconscious and should not consider competing at light heavyweight after this fight.
