Lu was taken off the UFC Shenzhen card Friday after not being cleared to fight because of a cut, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear where the cut occurred, but the featherweight fight with Movsar Evloev has been canceled nonetheless. This doesn't seem like the type of issue that will keep Lu out for long, although it's unclear when he'll be able to fight again.

Steps in on Shenzhen card

Lu will step in to take on Movsar Evloev in a featherweight matchup at UFC Shenzhen on Aug. 31, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lu is coming off a split-decision loss, but given the UFC needed a quick opponent and that he wouldn't have to worry about visa problems, he was the best the promotion could do given the circumstances. This is a rematch of a June 2015 that Lu lost via unanimous decision. Lu is 11-3 since that fight occurred, while Evloev is still unbeaten.
