Tawata agreed Thursday to re-sign with the Lions, Jim Allen of JBallAllen.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lions' top draft pick in 2015, Tawata turned in his best season for Seibu in 2018, winning 16 games and posting a 3.81 ERA over 172.2 innings. He appeared in just 12 games in 2019 and wasn't extended a contract this offseason after he was diagnosed with dysautonomia, an autonomic nerve disorder.
