Switch to Acura
IMSA
December 7, 2020
Magnus Racing has switched from Lamborghini to Acura machinery for next year's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and has joined forces with Archangel Motorsports. Magnus regulars Lally and John Potter will be the full-season pairing in the No. 44 Acura NSX GT3 Evo which is being entered under the Magnus with Archangel banner, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After just two podium finishes each of the last two seasons in the team's Lamborghini Huracan, Magnus decided it was time to make a manufacturer change. They have joined forces with Archangel Racing and will field Acuras for Lally and Potter in 2021. These two veteran drivers should get the stability they need from this move to contest the full season in GT Daytona in the IMSA WeatherTech series.
