Taylor laid down a blazing-fast lap of 1:14.278 in the No. 3 Chevy Corvette C8.R. He edged the No. 911 Porsche of Fred Makowiecki to claim the top starting spot for Saturday night's sprint race at the Charlotte Roval. It was Corvette Racing's fourth pole of the season and second-consecutive for Taylor. He and co-pilot, Antonio Garcia, will be top contenders to win the Motul 100% Synthetic Grand Prix.
