Brandon Gdovic
Sam Hunt Racing
Martinsville Start
Sam Hunt Racing announced that Gdovic will step in for Santino Ferrucci in the No. 26 Toyota Supra during the NASCAR Xfinity Series Cook Out 250 at Martinsville Speedway, Sam Hunt Racing PR reports.
ANALYSIS
Ferrucci was originally scheduled to drive the No. 26 Toyota in two weeks at Martinsville, but has had to step aside due to a scheduling conflict. Gdovic will take the wheel of the team's Toyota Supra for that short track event. To this point, he's made only one start in the Xfinity Series in 2021, but it was a strong Top-10 finish in the season-opener at Daytona. Gdovic and crew chief Andrew Abbott will look to challenge the Top 15 at Martinsville Speedway.
