Lally will drive the No. 15 Ford for Rick Ware Racing in the remaining five NASCAR Cup Series road course races this season, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Lally's first start behind the wheel of the No. 15 will come this weekend at Sonoma. Lally is a veteran of IMSA and has driven all types of cars throughout his career. The 48-year-old has made 40 career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, most recently at Circuit of the America's in 2022. Lally's best career finish at NASCAR's highest level was 18th in 2010 at Watkins Glen. Lally's other races on his Rick Ware Racing slate in 2023 will be Chicago Streets, Indy Road Course, Watkins Glen, and Charlotte Roval.
