Lewis Jr. spent part of the offseason working at his father's engine dyno company, but is now selling cars for Rick Hendrick at the Toyota Scion dealership in Concord, NC. He said he would consider the right opportunity to drive in NASCAR again if the situation arose, Sirius Satellite Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Lewis had a fairly successful Busch Series career going with Ed Rensi until things ended last season. Lewis finished 15th, 14th and eighth in the championship points the last three seasons in the Busch Series. It would be hard to imagine Lewis remaining outside of racing for long.

If there is such a thing as good timing for an injury, Lewis may have just found it. Within two weeks of the 2005 NASCAR Busch Series season finale and nearly three months before the 2006 season opening race, Lewis suffered a broken right talus bone, bgnracing.com reports. The injury occurred during a three day visit to Parris Island Marine Corps Recruiting Depot, in Parris Island, SC last week. Lewis was participating in a training activity when his ankle landed on a large rope following a repel down the rope.
