Craftsman Truck Series team owner Billy Ballew said that he purchased two Nextel Cup cars from Dale Earnhardt Inc. and plans to enter four races with Lester as the driver, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Ballew, who fields a truck for Lester, said he would like to run at Indianapolis, Atlanta, Charlotte and Homestead, if he can secure funding.

Sirius Speedway host Dave Moody reported Monday that Lester will announce a new deal in the next few days to drive the full Craftsman Truck Series schedule in 2007 for Billy Ballew Motorsports, jayski.com reports.

Lester was fastest in final practice for the Ford 200 Craftsman Truck race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He turned a fast lap of 170.821 mph.
