East won the pole for the Power Stroke Diesel 200 Craftsman Truck Series race at O'Reilly Raceway Park. He turned a fast lap of 108.602 mph.

The part-time driver of Roush Fenway Racing's No. 09 truck collected his first career pole at ORP on Friday. It took 29 CTS starts for East to win his first pole position in the series.
