2025 Fantasy Outlook
Holmes raced in nearly the full schedule last season (20 of the 23 events) but it was a competitive effort despite the missed races. The veteran driver picked up two Top-10 and eight Top-15 finishes with his best tracks being superspeedways. Holmes will look to repeat that success in 2025 with this same race team and under the guidance of long-time crew chief, Mike Shiplett. He has close to 450-career starts between the Cup and Xfinity Series with 25-career victories as crew chief to his credit. Holmes benefitted greatly from his experience last season in posting a career-best campaign in the truck series. He'll look to tap into that experience again and improve. Read Past Outlooks
Third in Chevy Silverado 250
Gander Outdoors Truck
October 1, 2022
Holmes finished third in the Chevy Silverado 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Saturday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
The owner/driver of the No. 32 Chevy truck made the biggest splash of his career Saturday at Talladega. Holmes would come from deep in the starting field to lead 7 laps and become a factor in the closing laps of this wild race. He would battle for the win in NASCAR overtime and when the final crash took place prior to the finish line, his drive in the outside line would seemingly reward Holmes with the win. However, when NASCAR reviewed the replays to see who was leading at the time caution was displayed, Holmes would be credited with third-place. It was his first Top 5 of the season and first-career truck series Top 5.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The long-time ARCA Menards Series veteran got his first full season of truck series action in 2023. Holmes would make 21 of the 23 events and finish 23rd in the final driver standings after Phoenix. With just three Top-15 finishes during last season, the hope was for some better consistency. The 23.0 average finish fell short of expectations in a lot of ways. At the time of this writing nothing official has been announced, but it expected that this team and driver will return for 2024. It's a small operation, so equipment and resources are limited. Holmes will hope to make some gradual steps forward in the new season. With the help of veteran crew chief Jerry Baxter, hopefully he can find more consistency.
