September 18, 2024
Malukas finished in ninth place at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Malukas began the race in fifth and was able to lead eight laps before fading back to ninth place in the season finale. Malukas certainly had to think starting 2024 that his year would go much differently. He was slated to drive the No. 6 for Arrow McLaren, but was released after breaking his wrist in a mountain biking accident. He ended up racing the final 10 races in the No. 66 for Meyer Shank Racing, recording a pair of top-10 finishes. A.J. Foyt Racing took advantage of the opportunity to sign the 22-year-old to a multi-year deal for the 2025 season and beyond. Malukas has a lot of talent and will look to put together a consistent season alongside teammate Santino Ferrucci.
