Montecalvo scored top qualifying honors in GT Daytona Friday at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, marking the third class pole in four races for AIM Vasser Sullivan and Lexus, sportscar365.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Montecalvo upset the very fast Lamborghini's and marched to the pole position Friday at the Georgia road course. It was his second pole of the season and third pole position for the AIM Vasser Sullivan team in the last four events. Montecalvo and his co-pilots will be going for their second victory of the season Saturday at Road Atlanta.
