Sacks hasn’t competed in a NASCAR national touring series race since 2005 but that hiatus from competition will end Friday when he drives for JR Motorsports in the Subway Jalapeno 250 at Daytona International Speedway, scenedaily.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Sacks will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his upset win at Daytona in 1985 by racing in this Friday night's Nationwide Series race. The veteran driver hasn't been behind the wheel in a long time and it showed in his Wednesday practice crash. Sacks will have to go to his backup car for qualifying and the race at Daytona.
