2023 Fantasy Outlook
The soon to be 18-year-old (March) dipped his toes into the truck series pool last season to the tune of five starts. Garcia was reasonably competitive in those races, collecting a pair of Top-20 finishes and learning a lot of lessons in that seat time. He now moves to full-time and will compete in what is a very deep rookie class for the upcoming season. The good news is that veteran crew chief, Chad Norris, has been tabbed to guide Garcia this season. The two worked together last year and began establishing some chemistry. Garcia's background is not quite as deep as some of the other rookie drivers this season, so he faces an uphill battle to perform in this team's third truck. Read Past Outlooks

McAnally Hilgermann Racing announced on Tuesday that Garcia will race full-time in the No. 35 Chevrolet in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Garcia made five starts last year in the No. 35 truck and had a best finish of 16th at the season-finale race at Phoenix. Garcia is also a former track champion at Five Flags Speedway and became the youngest Southern Super Series champion in history. Garcia will have to miss the season-opening race at Daytona due to age restrictions. He will, however, make his season debut in the second race at Las Vegas, which falls on his 18th birthday. NASCAR is expected to grant Garcia a waiver to make him playoff eligible.
