Jason Leffler: Blunt Force Neck Injury
Leffler died from a blunt force neck injury, an autopsy revealed Thursday, USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It seems that Leffler's sprint car hit the wall so hard that it literally snapped his neck. The medical examiner has ruled that the cause of death was the neck injury Leffler received when his car hit the wall head-on at Bridgeport Speedway. Michigan International Speedway plans to hold a moment of silence for Leffler before both Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series events at the track this weekend.
