2026 Fantasy Outlook
Nemechek delivered in 2025. The young driver would pilot the team's No. 42 Toyota to eight Top-10 finishes and a 25th-place finish in the final driver standings. Both were career-best marks. With just over 100 Cup Series starts to his credit, Nemechek has a lot of good years and good racing to go. While his lack of overall consistency pulled his average finish up to a 20.3, his lack of DNF's meant he was racing at the end of almost all the races. No major changes are happening with his Legacy Motor Club team, but it's hard to imagine they could raise the bar much higher than this with their limited resources as a team. Nemchek's best tracks last year were the intermediate and larger ovals. That's something to remember not just in year-long fantasy formats but also in weekly lineup leagues. Read Past Outlooks
Big Mover at Darlington
Nemechek finished fourth in the Cook Out Southern 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway on Sunday night.
ANALYSIS
Nemechek would be the big mover of the night at Darlington Raceway. He'd start 30th on the grid and move quickly through the field to crack the Top 10 by the conclusion of stage 1. Nemechek had a fast Toyota and would lead 15 laps for the evening at the Track Too Tough to Tame. He'd settle into the Top 5 down the stretch and hold off AJ Allmendinger to earn the strong fourth-place. It was just his second Top 5 of the season.

Nemechek gets a second crack at NASCAR's top division in 2024. He was a rookie driver for Front Row Motorsports in 2020, but washed out after one season of struggles and poor performance. The nine-time Xfinity Series victor and 13-time truck series winner has clear and obvious talent. Nemechek has contended for wins and championships in the lower divisions of NASCAR. His reboot will take place with Legacy Motor Club. He'll pilot the team's No. 42 Toyota and be paired with crew chief, Ben Beshore. The duo was together during last season's seven-win Xfinity Series campaign that saw the team finish fourth in the championship points. Familiarity and chemistry are components these two will possess before the green flag waves at Daytona in February. Nemechek has loads of talent but faces some uncertain performance due to this team's current challenges and transition of manufacturers.
