Making Cup Series debut at Phoenix
IMSA
March 3, 2025
Legge will drive the No. 78 Chevrolet for Live Fast Motorsports in Sunday's Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway, the team announced Monday.
ANALYSIS
Legge will become the first female driver to race in a Cup Series event since Danica Patrick in 2018. Legge is a veteran racer across many different series. She has made four prior Indy 500 starts, including last year. The 44-year-old has also raced five times in the Xfinity Series, most recently in 2023. Legge has the bulk of her racing experience in IMSA where she has competed for the last 11 seasons, collecting four total victories. Racing in the Cup Series at a track like Phoenix will certainly be a test, especially in not the best equipment at Live Fast.
