2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Danish driver had difficulties finishing in the points during the latter half of the 2022 season after starting off strong with three Top-10 finishes in the first four races. But alongside Haas' many mechanical issues last year- leading to five different DNFs out of 22 race starts for Magnussen- the driver of the No. 20 found it difficult to continuously outperform his younger teammate Mick Schumacher following the summer break. Despite his performance struggles, however, a wet qualifying session at the Brazil Grand Prix brought Magnussen (and Haas, by extension) his first-ever pole position in Formula One, and a moment to be remembered fondly in the years to come. Magnussen urgently needs a good season going into 2023, both for the sake of his own confidence and for the benefit of his team; with any luck, Haas will have remedied the issues with the VF-22 that plagued the Dutchman throughout the 2022 season and Magnussen will be able to put up some good points for the team this year.
