Abel Motorsports, with a shop located less than a mile south of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has confirmed the No. 50 Chevrolet-powered entry in the 107th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge for driver Enerson, IndyCar.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Abel Motorsports is a fledgling team that started up in January with the purpose of putting an entry into this season's Indianapolis 500. They've tabbed youngster Enerson to pilot the team's No. 50 entry next month. The team is looking to become established with the goal of racing full-time in 2024. "It's going to be a thrill watching RC pilot the No. 50 Chevy around the Speedway, and we believe it sets a very positive tone of what's to come for Abel Motorsports in the future," said John Brunner, team manager.
