Reed Sorenson
39-Year-Old Driver

Races into Daytona 500 Field
By virtue of finishing 18th in the Daytona Duel 1 at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night, Sorenson has raced his way into the Daytona 500 field.
ANALYSIS
The driver of the No. 27 Chevrolet found moving forward difficult in this star-studded 22-car field. However, Sorenson was able to stay out of trouble and keep his car ahead of the other race-in drivers. He would fall one lap down to the leaders by the checkered flag, but that would put him ahead of Chad Finchum to take the transfer spot into the Daytona 500.
