Craven isn’t ready to retire from auto racing, but said he doesn’t foresee driving a full-time schedule next season, the Bangor Daily News reports.

FitzBradshaw Racing announced Tuesday that NASCAR veteran Craven will pilot the No. 14 Family Dollar Dodge in the Goody's 250 at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, fitzbradshaw.com reports.

Craven said he may return to the Craftsman Truck Series this month. He is currently mulling an attractive offer and expects to make a decision soon, the Bangor Daily News reports. Craven, who has 278 Nextel Cup races under his belt, including two wins, raced full time in the truck series for the first time a year ago for Roush Racing.

There's an outside chance Craven could return to the Nextel Cup circuit with former boss Cal Wells for the coming season. Talks with the PPI Motorsports team continue, though it's getting late in Silly Season and circumstances would need to change for that offer to be acceptable, the Concord Monitor reports.

Newburgh native Craven, who finished 14th in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings for Roush Racing this year, said Monday he doesn't expect to race full time next year, the Bangor Daily News reports. "I'm not going to pursue full-time Busch or Truck Series opportunities and it's late in the game for Nextel Cup," said Craven, who has run 278 Nextel Cup races in his career. "I'm not saying it won't happen [in Nextel Cup], but I don't expect it this late."
