The Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway will mark the final start for Rudd in the Nextel Cup Series and Sunday’s Ford 400 will be Rudd’s 906th career start in the series, rickyrudd.com reports.

This weekend the Nextel Cup Series travels to Phoenix International Raceway for the Checker Auto Parts 500. With two more races left in the 2007 season as well as his career, Rudd looks ahead to Phoenix as an opportunity to further develop on the success the No. 88 team has achieved the previous two weekends at Atlanta and Texas, rickyrudd.com reports.

The Nextel Cup Series travels to Martinsville Speedway this weekend for the Subway 500. Rudd will travel to his home state of Virginia with the hopes of racing in Sunday’s Subway 500, rickyrudd.com reports.

Rudd has been cleared by doctors to return to the No. 88 Ford this weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway, ESPN.com reports.

Rudd, who has missed the last four races and is on the sidelines again this week, said Friday he hopes to be back in Robert Yates Racing's No. 88 Ford at Lowe's Motor Speedway next weekend, scenedaily.com reports.
