Ross Gunn and De Angelis picked up their second GT Daytona class victory of the season Saturday in a dominant drive by the duo in the No. 23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at Lime Rock Park, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The shortened event did little to hurt The Heart of Racing team's dominant showing. De Angelis got the team off to a great start, out-pacing the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus early on. Then he'd hand over the No. 23 Aston Martin to Gunn and he'd take it from there until the weather stoppage. The win is the team's second of the season and they assume the GT Daytona point standings lead after Lime Rock.
