Curtis Key and his Key Motorsports team will again be fielding the No. 40 Chevy in the 2011 Nationwide Series season. For this coming season Curtis has gone back to the well with a driver that he is very familiar with in Wausau, Wisconsin native Wimmer, Key Motorsports PR reports.

Wimmer was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Federated Auto Parts 300 Nationwide Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 157.286 mph.

Wimmer will take the wheel of the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevy this Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway and April 3 at Nashville Superspeedway, JR Motorsports PR reports.

As tough economic times continue to take a toll throughout the NASCAR community, veteran driver Wimmer finds himself at the mercy of uncommitted sponsorship dollars, Wimmer Racing PR reports.

Wimmer returns to the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet this weekend, and will remain behind the wheel of the machine for the rest of the season, Key Motorsports PR reports.
