Aaron Ramsey News: Plays full game in cup
Ramsey played the full game in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Derby County for the first time since his long-term knee injury, and coach Scott Parker was pleased with his performance. "I was really pleased for him. I thought he played really well tonight as well. He's been out for a long a long time Rambo, it's been a long road for him. To get back, have 90 minutes, score a goal as well, and his general play, he was involved in the second as well. So really, really pleased for Rambo, he deserves that. It was a good performance generally from him."
Ramsey suffered an ACL injury in 2024 and only returned at the very end of last season. The attacking midfielder worked on his fitness throughout the summer and played the full 90 minutes in Tuesday's Carabao Cup victory against Derby County, showing good progression toward full match sharpness. That said, he will provide a strong option in midfield for coach Scott Parker, as Ramsey is expected to be a decent option when available.
