Bretones saw a late straight red card and was handed his marching orders in Tuesday's season opener against the Merengues. It was an unnecessary challenge on Gonzalo Garcia near the halfway line where no danger was occurring. He will be suspended for at least the match against Valencia on Sunday if his suspension is not extended. Victor Munoz will likely be the one starting on the left flank for that game.
