Abner Vinicius Injury: Suffers groin injury

Vinicius is ruled out for Friday's clash against Angers due to a groin injury he suffered in training, coach Paulo Fonseca said in the press conference.

Vinicius suffered an adductor injury in training this week and won't be available for Friday's clash against Angers. The Brazilian will likely be assessed at the beginning of next week to determine the extent of the issue and if he can return for next week's fixture. His absence is a blow for the Gones since he started all the games this season and will therefore need to be replaced, with Nicolas Tagliafico claiming back his left-back spot for the time being.
