Adam Wharton Injury: Suffers groin injury
Wharton suffered a groin injury during Crystal Palace's 3-0 win Sunday at Aston Villa, coach Oliver Glasner said in a press conference, according to Your Local Guardian. "Adam with his adductor. Hopefully, it is not too serious. We will make scans tomorrow so they can't go to their national teams."
Because of the groin injury, Wharton is questionable for Crystal Palace's next game. Fortunately for him, the next week includes a league-wide respite. Thus, Palace's subsequent game is Sept. 13 against Sunderland. If he is out then, like on Sunday, Jefferson Lerma may replace Wharton.
