Albert Rusnak Injury: Close to return

Rusnak (hamstring) participated in training warmups on Tuesday and is close to returning, coach Brian Schmetzer said to the media, according to Jackson Felts from 93.3 KJR radio. "They participated in warm ups today, so they're getting closer."

Rusnak suffered a hamstring injury during the Leagues Cup game against Tijuana and is now close to making his return after participating in training warmups on Tuesday. This is good news for the Sounders as it suggests he could be back after the international break for the next game against LA Galaxy on Sept. 13. That said, if he has to miss more time, Danny Leyva or Jesus Ferreira could continue seeing increased playing time.
