Lokonga (ankle) has been on the bench for preseason friendlies but has yet to see a minute of play.

Lokonga returned from his loan spell with Sevilla by being offered a 12-month extension by Arsenal, implying the club had some plans to keep him around. However, he returned to the club with an ankle injury and despite appearing on the bench for three friendlies, he has yet to earn a minute of play. That leaves his spot in the squad up in the air entering the season, as he could simply be a reserve option, still nursing an injury or exiting the club.
