Alberto Herrera Injury: Suffers injury in Leagues Cup

Herrera was forced off with an undisclosed problem in Tuesday's Leagues Cup defeat to San Diego FC.

Herrera recorded 45 minutes of play before being replaced by Salvador Rodriguez in the midweek clash. The midfielder, who has recently been deployed as a left-back, was a regular starter and even scored a goal over the first three Apertura 2025 games, and then he got some rest during the Leagues Cup break. The severity of his issue is unclear, but it could force him to miss the next few matches, in which case both Rodriguez and Jair Diaz may see increased playing time.
