Alisson Injury: Injured against Galatasaray

Alisson was forced off with an injury during Tuesday's clash with Galatasaray and was ruled out for Saturday's trip to Chelsea by manager Arne Slot. "When he sprinted back he felt something. I cannot tell you [exactly] because I am not a physio, but normally when a player when he sprints back, feels something, goes to the floor and doesn't come back onto the pitch [it's not good]."

Alisson was forced off early in the second half after making a save. Injuries have been a bit of concern for him in recent seasons, after he missed 10 Premier League matches in each of the past two seasons. New signing Giorgi Mamardashvili came on to replace him and would be the starter while Alisson is sidelined. Mamardashvili started 71 times across the past two seasons with Valencia, keeping 21 clean sheets in that span.
