Gouiri was forced off in the 44th minute of Friday's match against Lorient due to an apparent injury to his upper body, according to his club.

Gouiri was involved in a heavy tackle Friday and was unable to continue after, heading straight to the locker room with a blow to the chest and neck area. This is not a good sign for the club, as he has started in three of their four games this campaign. He was replaced by Matt O'Riley as the team goes for a more defensive look to protect a 3-0 lead, although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be a more likely replacement if he misses extended time.
