Anthony Gordon Injury: Ankle injury confirmed
Gordon suffered an ankle twist in Saturday's friendly against Atletico Madrid, according to manager Eddie Howe, per Lee Ryder of the Chronicle. "It's an ankle problem. It looks like it's just a twist, so hopefully he is okay."
Gordon suffered an injury Saturday but appears to have avoided a major issue, with the attacker now claimed to have suffered only a twisted ankle. This is good news, but it still puts him in a bit of a bind for their season opener on Aug. 16, as the club likely won't want to risk him unless fully fit. That said, he will probably be a late call and required to pass some testing, with Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy and Anthony Elanga as a possible front three if Gordon is left out.
