Badiashile has been on the sidelines since suffering an injury at the Club World Cup. He was left out for Chelsea's friendly against Leverkusen and now appears set to miss the opening two weeks of the season. The defender's absence is an even bigger loss with the news of Levi Colwill's torn ACL leaving Chelsea short-handed in defense. Wesley Fofana (hamstring), Jorrel Hato, and Josh Acheampong all will be options to fill the void left by Colwill in Chelsea's backline.
