Bruno Mendez News: Misses Juarez match

Mendez was not with the team for Monday's game against Bravos after suffering the loss of his father, Jorge Carlos Mercader of Fox Deportes reports.

Mendez was absent for the first time in four Apertura matches, reducing Diablos' center-back and right-back options. The defender previously racked up 159 minutes on the field in league play, making five clearances, three blocks and two interceptions over that span. His return date is still unknown, so Antonio Briseno and Diego Barbosa could see more action in the near future.
